Download and install the latest version of PowerISO from the following URL: www.poweriso.com/download.htm. Once downloaded, execute the installer, and proceed with the on-screen instructions to install.
Once installed, launch PowerISO from the desktop shortcut PowerISO or from the Start Menu. When asked for a licence key, contact an admin of RM User Group to obtain this. THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT FULLY RIP A DISC WITHOUT BEING LICENCED
Insert the CD/DVD into the computer's optical drive. Within PowerISO, on the top left ribbon choose Copy Make CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc image file.
Once the Make Disc Image File dialog appears, select the Source Drive to be the drive you just inserted the media into. Choose a location for the Destination File or accept the default location. On the Output image file format, change the dropdown from “Direct Access Archive (.DAA)” to “Standard ISO Images (.ISO)”. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT Once you are happy with the settings, choose OK to begin the rip process.
The rip process will now begin, this could take a while depending on the size of the disc. Wait for the message that says “Creating image file completed successfully”. Once this message has appeared, the ISO will be created in the location you chose.
We would also ask for a scan of the disc for archival purposes.
